What is FlexPass?

The Downtown Seattle Area FlexPass is a deeply discounted annual pass program for employers that have between 5-99 employees. FlexPass provides your employees with a transportation pass offering valued benefits and choices, all at an affordable price. It can also be integrated with an existing program of commute benefits and simplify administration.

With FlexPass, all of your employees receive unlimited access to all regular King County Metro bus routes, Sound Transit Express regional bus routes, the Sounder train from Tacoma to Everett, and monthly Vanpool credit, allowing them greater destination choices. Employers now have the option of including travel on Community Transit buses or vanpools from Snohomish County as well. They also receive a Home Free Guarantee (up to eight taxi trips a year, with the cost of each trip covered up to 60 miles one way), making unexpected family or work emergencies much more manageable for employees who choose not to drive alone to work.

The program requires that a pass be purchased for every regular, full-time employee regardless of their current commute behavior. If you already subsidize transportation for some employees, we recommend that you compare your current transportation expenditures to the cost of the Seattle area FlexPass for all your employees.

How Much Does FlexPass Cost?

First choose which FlexPass Program fits your company best:

• FlexPass Basic- For an annual pass at $287*, every employee receives unlimited trips on Metro and Sound Transit and $65 per month towards a Metro VanPool credit.
• FlexPass with Community Transit- For an annual pass at $368*, every employee receives unlimited trips on Community Transit, Metro, and Sound Transit and 100% subsidy on any Metro or Community Transit VanPool costs.
